About the Opportunity.
The Transnet Enterprise Development Hub in collaboration with the Department Of Small Business, Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA), National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), South African Revenue Services (SARS), Gauteng Enterprise Propeller (GEP), as well as Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) with the intention to reflect a coordinated Government effort around Enterprise Development.
Upon the success of the ED Hub based at the Transnet Head office at Carlton Centre in Johannesburg, we have established other ED Hubs in 3 provinces, namely: Eastern Cape, Western Cape, and Northern Cape and are in process of opening 2 Hubs in Limpopo and Mpumalanga.
The typical services that SMMEs can expect at the Transnet Enterprise Development Hub include:

Procurement Advisory Services
Central Supplier Database Registration and Queries (CSD) Services
TAX, PAYE, VAT and other related services

It is Transnet’s objective to create Enterprise Development initiatives that will create and expand opportunities for small businesses. These initiatives will target black-owned enterprises with a turnover of less than R35 million to cover a broad range of designated groups with a key focus on:
Start-up and Micro Enterprises in identified rural areas
Black Woman-Owned Enterprises
Black Youth Owned Enterprises
People Living with Disabilities Owned Enterprises
