By partnering with qualifying entrepreneurs and business owners, Sun International is enabling South Africa’s future economic growth by playing its role in Enterprise and Supplier Development.
Sun International’s E&SD Programme contributes by:
supporting the introduction and development of black-owned Small Medium Micro Enterprise (SMME) businesses in our supply chain
offering business opportunities to qualifying E&SD beneficiaries where possible
focusing on the sustainability of the beneficiaries within the program
supporting the objective of the National Development Plan (NDP) 2030
supporting strategic category management plans
using E&SD funds to achieve meaningful value within the communities within which we operate
Qualification for E&SD Assistance
To qualify as a potential beneficiary of our Enterprise & Supplier Development program, suppliers must meet the following requirements as stated in the CoGP:
Your company or enterprise is greater than or equal to 51% black-owned EME with a valid B-BBEE Affidavit; and/or
Your company or enterprise is greater than or equal to 51% black-owned QSE with a valid B-BBEE Affidavit.
In addition to the above, as a potential E&SD supplier you are required to:
Provide a product or service directly related to Sun International’s supply chain
Have been trading for a minimum of two years
Demonstrate the ability to become sustainable during the contractual period
Demonstrate the capacity to repay all business loans within the contractual period
Demonstrate the capacity to promote job creation through efficient application of development assistance
Sun International will only enter into agreements with B-BBEE suppliers where regular supplier opportunity exists for the full contractual period
