MAKERSHUB calls for entrepreneurs that do general repairs, plumbing, electrical and welding
About the Opportunity
MAKERSHUB is a part-time programme for existing business owners that work in construction related trades, general repairs, plumbing, electrical and welding.
MAKERSHUB takes businesses to a place of stability, formalisation and growth by providing you with free training, business resources, mentorship, access to office space, funding and to various industry experts.

Please read the following details carefully to make sure MAKERSHUB is right for you and your business:
All successful candidates will need to attend an enrolment and induction evening event on Wednesday, 9 March 2022.
You'll need to commit to 8 weeks of training for 3 hours on Saturday mornings from 12 March 2022
Thereafter, you’ll be committed to 3 months of low-touch business support and master classes
The training will take place in Braamfontein, Johannesburg (or online if Covid regulations require)
You'll need access to internet to complete online learning
Your full commitment will be required for the duration of the programme.
You need to complete and be available for the entire selection process in January & February.
If you’re successful, there will be a mandatory onboarding evening in Braamfontein to kick-start your journey.
Minimum Requirements
South African citizen or permanent resident
Business Owner / Co-Owner / Entrepreneur / Self-Employed
ages between 21 and 50 years old
based in the Johannesburg area
Business Requirements
A small business in an artisan related industry e.g. plumber, tiler, carpenter, electrician etc.
has been operating for a minimum of 6 months
has completed at least 5 jobs in the past 12 months (you’ll need to supply contactable references).
