About the Opportunity

The Social Entrepreneurship Impact Lab™ (SEIL) is a unique initiative that supports the growth and investment potential of organizations that are tackling pressing social, environmental and economic issues in South Africa. Implemented by growth specialists, Fetola, this 18-month programme is designed to help social entrepreneurs bolster their skills, develop their product or service, refine their model and improve their attractiveness to potential investors and funders.

Fetola are proudly partnering with FNB on the programme and will deliver personalized, practical and effective solutions that will take your social enterprise to new heights. We are looking for exceptional organizations that have the potential to solve community-based challenges in areas such as education, food sustainability, healthcare, safety and environmental sustainability.

Eligibility Criteria

  • South African-owned social enterprise or business with a social impact.

  • Focuses on high-impact sectors such as water, energy, waste management, food security, education or so.

  • At least 51% black shareholding with annual turnover not exceeding R10m.

  • Has real potential for growth, job creation and scale.

  • Is a registered enterprise run on for-profit principles.

  • Has been operational for a minimum of six months and has a proven track record including market traction.

  • Has innovative solutions for social and environmental benefit.
